Chelsea faced most Embarrassing FA Cup

Chelsea suffered one of the most embarrassing FA Cup defeats of all times after a 4-2 loss at the hands of Bradford City.

They have crashed out of the FA Cup this season at fourth round stage, but the blues could be looking at yet another cup upset in the space of just a few days. They take on Liverpool in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge. After having failed at the similar stage only last season, Chelsea will be aware of winning the match in order to let the confidence stay within the team.

Striker Didier Drogba says that the blues should do a lot better than they did against Bradford on Saturday. The 36-year-old was one of the starters against the League One team, but he was not able to impact much despite playing along with another striker in the form of Loic Remy.

Chelsea had a two-goal advantage at one stage in the match, but they appeared to lose the match just because of complacency. There is unlikely to the danger of complacency coming back into the team against Liverpool. The tie remains delicately poised at 1-1, but Brendan Rodgers’ team will feel more confident ahead of this match.

“Of course we are not proud of what happened. We did not play our best football, we did not perform the way we wanted to perform. But you have to give credit to Bradford who came, and had a dream, and showed some courage.First they came not to lose, and during the game their ideas changed and they came to win. Congratulations to them. Good thing in football, especially English football, is in two days we have another game, so we have to focus on this game,” said Drogba, who has scored five goals this season.
