DROGBA IDENTIFIED AS CHILDHOOD HERO

Celtic midfielder IsmailaSoro has revealed that Chelsea legend Didier Drogbawas his childhood hero while he was growing up. The Celtic player said that Didier Drogba was his hero as a child while he was fielding questions from Twitter. The Ivorian player said that he adored his compatriot Didier Drogba because the former Chelsea striker was very strong and also scored a lot of goals during his playing career.


Soro recently showed similar attributes with Didier Drogba when he scored against Dundee United in a recent league match. He scored the opener as Celtic thrashed Dundee United 3-0 at home to stay in touch with league leaders and rivals Rangers at the Scottish Premiership summit. IsmailaSoro also said that Chelsea midfielder N’GoloKante is an inspiration for him.N’GoloKante is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and he’s a World Cup winner. Kante was part of the French squad that won the 2018 edition in Russia.

Ivorian midfielder IsmailaSoro is eligible to play for the Elephants of Ivory Coast as bids to follow in the footsteps of his hero Didier Drogba. Ivorian football icon Didier Drogba holds the record for the most goals scored for the two-time African champions. Didier Drogba scored 65 goals for his country before he announced his retirement from international football in 2015. He played 105 times for the Elephants. Didier Drogba was a stalwart for his country during his playing career and he played in three FIFA World Cup editions. Didier Drogba was at the 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament in Germany, 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa and the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
