DROGBA’S SON SCORES FIRST CAREER GOAL
Isaac Drogba, son of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, has gotten off the mark after scoring the very first goal of his professional career. The son of Chelsea legend Didier made the rounds at the weekend after he found the back of the net for the first time for Italian Serie D club US Folgore Caratese.
One very odd thing about him, however, is that while his dad played for Chelsea, he is a supporter of the Blues’ London rivals Arsenal. He has also declared that he would love to play for England, but whether he has such talent is yet to be seen.
For his first goal, the forward made his way into the six-yard box where he waited for a sublime pass that came to his path, and then lashed home the strike from close range. The goal was not the only notable thing of the afternoon, as the England-born star brought back memories of his father’s career by celebrating like the Ivorian legend.
Isaac started his young career at the Chelsea youth team but was unable to convince the people in charge that he had what it takes to be a huge talent for the club. He was eventually released back in 2018 and that’s how he found his way to Italy playing in the country’s fourth division.
It’s not clear how far he can go yet, but after scoring his first career goal, all he can do right now is to continue looking up and improving on his game. Doing that would surely help him become better and having a father who was a goal poacher to mentor him could be a huge plus as well.
