LUKAKU: MALOUDA ASKS FOR PATIENCE
Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has asked for patience from the Chelsea fans over Belgian international Romelu Lukaku who has not had the best of starts to his second spell at Stamford Bridge. Lukaku returned to Chelsea last summer for his second spell at the club after the West London giants paid around £97m to secure his transfer from Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan. The Belgian striker was the main man as Inter Milan won the Serie A title last season under the guidance of Antonio Conte, but he has not been able to show the same form at Chelsea this season.
Lukaku was also in the headlines for the wrong reasons after he made just seven touches during the recent 1-0 away win over London rivals Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
On Lukaku, Malouda said that the Belgian international is more talented and more gifted than Didier Drogba and that what the Belgian striker needs is patience in his quest to get back to the top of his game.
Lukaku has scored ten goals in 29 appearances for Chelsea this season and the striker has been left out of the starting XI for the last two games in all competitions.
