DROGBA WANTS FINAL
Didier Drogba thinks that Chelsea can secure a victory in the Champions League Final and help to keep the 2008 demon to rest.
The Ivory Coast international Drogba performed quite admirably as Chelsea’s lone forward in the second leg of the semi-final match as they overcame the red card of John Terry and defeated the defending champion Barcelona to seal a place in the final match in which they will face Bayern Munich. The London club is just a match away to get the crown what they had lost to Manchester United on penalties 4 years ago. In that game, Drogba was sent off in the extra-time.
In an interview, he recently told that this is the 2nd chance and let see if they can secure a victory this time or not. He believes that it would be nice for the club as well as for the fans. They are going to win everything this time. He thinks that everyone deserves another chance. He further added that he understand everything and this helped him to grow up a little bit more.
Often Didier has been portrayed as a pantomime villain in his period at Chelsea and this was the same in the matches against Barcelona. The fans of the Catalan club felt that he was pretending and received him at the Nou Camp with jeers and chorus. He knows some people do not like Chelsea but that is what football is. They are in the final today and this is not revenge against anyone.
