SWANSEA ARE KEEN ON SIGNING JOHN TERRY

The Swansea City manager Paul Clement made a promise to contact the departing Chelsea captain John Terry concerning his football future, while adamant that extensive summer surgery on his team will be unnecessary after their brush with relegation.


John Terry is ready and has decided to bring the curtain down on his remarkable Chelsea career during the Chelsea’s English Premier League final match against Sunderland.

Clement reportedly said that he has some plans if Terry decides to continue playing football, admitting his side would be glad to have the former England international.

Swansea ultimately made it out of the relegation zone, and their coach, who worked with Terry during his time as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Chelsea said:

“I have not contacted John Terry yet, I am going to ensure our stay in the Premier League first. He has a lot on himself, he still has one big game at Chelsea as well which I am certain his send-off will be unique. I will discuss things with him. “ Read more »

DROGBA: PHOENIX IS AN IDEAL PLACE

Didier Drogba has said that Phoenix is an ideal place for the Major League Soccer (MLS)as the United Soccer League side seeks one of the slots in the MLS expansion bid.


The club signed the former Chelsea player on a two year deal and the Ivorian joined the ownership ranks.

Phoenix Rising FC are hoping to be amongst the 12 cities as the 22-year old MLS expands. At a news conference in Scottsdale on Tuesday, Drogba said Phoenix can be an MLS city and that it was the prospect of the project that won his heart over.

Drogba was at the conference alongside the President and Deputy Commissioner of the MLS Mark Abbott on a site visit of the club’s complex. Abbott said the United States has become a soccer nation with the way the MLS has grown over time. Abbott added that he was impressed with the attention given to creating “a great fan experience” at the new stadium. He saw it as a sign of better things to come from the club owners. Read more »

DROGBA REFUSES TO RETIRE JUST YET

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has refused to retire just yet from the game.


The retired Ivory Coast international is set to be reunited with former Blues teammate Shaun Wright-Phillips at second tier United Soccer League(USL) in the United States Phoenix Rising, according to reports from The Sun.

The American League – much unlike their European counterparts – do not have promotion and relegation in their soccer system. This means there is no hope of moving to the top flight – the Major League Soccer where the Champions League winner has experience in.

Drogba played for Montreal Impact last season that ended in December yet the 38-year old is bent on defying odds and calls for his retirement as he seeks more club football.The striker has not played competitive football since December. There are links to roles in China and South America. There are also rumours that the player might return to Stamford Bridge for a coaching role with the academy or reserves. Read more »

WILFRED ZAHA: DROGBA MY PREMIER LEAGUE IDOL

Prolific Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha has made a startling revelation after he named former Chelsea’s playmaker Didier Drogba as his premier league idol.


Zaha who has been an integral member of the crystal palace team has stated that the former Ivorian international has contributed immensely to the way he goes about his game.

Drogba, who was a striker most defenders wouldn’t want to go against achieved great heights in the Premier League, helping his Chelsea team make history after winning a top fourth flight title in 2015 having signed a one-year contract that saw him returned to the club. However, the former Chelsea striker now plies his trade with French side Montreal Impact.

Throughout his stellar blues career, the former Ivorian football international scored a staggering 164 goals for his Chelsea team and won a total of twelve trophies including the most coveted of trophies the champion’s league in 2012. Drogba believes in Mourinho

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba believes that Jose Mourinho is the right man for Manchester United.


The manager has come under intense criticism from supporters and pundits as his side’s form continue to plummet. However the former Ivory Coast international believes that the manager should be given more time as he has taken charge of the club only at the beginning of the season.

Didier Drogba said that it is still the same manager that has won the Premier League with Chelsea and he believes that he is still capable of doing the same with Manchester United. He said that it is still so early in the season and that there is still time for the manager to improve the team.

Didier Drogba said that Jose Mourinho is a skillful manager and chances are he has already found ways on how to improve the team. He said that he had spent some good times with Chelsea when Mourinho was manager and that he has learned a lot from him. He has urged Manchester United fans to remain behinds the team and to provide the manager with their support. He believes that Jose Mourinho is the right man for Manchester United and very soon they will see a team able to deliver results.

Kolo Toure has just completed a move to Celtic

Kolo Toure has just completed a move to Celtic to end his time with Liverpool once and for all.


The defender had been linked with a move almost every summer since he came from Manchester City on a free transfer. Even though he became an influential part of Jurgen Klopp’s revival at Anfield towards the end of last season, concerns about his age were a major factor in the club deciding to let him go in the summer. Toure was one of the players released by Liverpool and it made him an attractive proposition for the clubs across the world.

Even though he was approaching 35,Toure still had the ability to play on for a couple of years. His immense talent and experience are second to none. Newly appointed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has decided to take advantage of his presence in the Bosman market by convincing him to move to Celtic Park. The Scotland club will face renewed rivalry in the Scottish Premier league since the return of Rangers to the top division has been completed. This coupled with the need to do well in European competitions puts a lot of pressure on Rodgers. After the move that reunited him with his former boss,Toure said that he is happy to be playing for Rodgers once again.
