SWANSEA ARE KEEN ON SIGNING JOHN TERRY

The Swansea City manager Paul Clement made a promise to contact the departing Chelsea captain John Terry concerning his football future, while adamant that extensive summer surgery on his team will be unnecessary after their brush with relegation.

John Terry is ready and has decided to bring the curtain down on his remarkable Chelsea career during the Chelsea’s English Premier League final match against Sunderland.

Clement reportedly said that he has some plans if Terry decides to continue playing football, admitting his side would be glad to have the former England international.

Swansea ultimately made it out of the relegation zone, and their coach, who worked with Terry during his time as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Chelsea said:

“I have not contacted John Terry yet, I am going to ensure our stay in the Premier League first. He has a lot on himself, he still has one big game at Chelsea as well which I am certain his send-off will be unique. I will discuss things with him. “ Read more »

Kolo Toure has just completed a move to Celtic

Kolo Toure has just completed a move to Celtic to end his time with Liverpool once and for all.

The defender had been linked with a move almost every summer since he came from Manchester City on a free transfer. Even though he became an influential part of Jurgen Klopp’s revival at Anfield towards the end of last season, concerns about his age were a major factor in the club deciding to let him go in the summer. Toure was one of the players released by Liverpool and it made him an attractive proposition for the clubs across the world.

Even though he was approaching 35,Toure still had the ability to play on for a couple of years. His immense talent and experience are second to none. Newly appointed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has decided to take advantage of his presence in the Bosman market by convincing him to move to Celtic Park. The Scotland club will face renewed rivalry in the Scottish Premier league since the return of Rangers to the top division has been completed. This coupled with the need to do well in European competitions puts a lot of pressure on Rodgers. After the move that reunited him with his former boss,Toure said that he is happy to be playing for Rodgers once again.

Montreal Impact striker, Didier Drogba, led the resilient attack of the team that forced a draw with Columbus Crew SC despite their lead.

The draw sent Montreal Impact to the top of the table. Columbus were sitting pretty while holding a three-goal lead early in the second half at MAPFRE Stadium but the Montreal Impact mounted an impressive comeback to grab a share of the points in an improbable 4-4 draw.

Kei Kamara scored the first in the 16th minute for Columbus but the Ex-Chelsea centre forward assisted Ignacio Piatti as he equalized for Impact ten minutes later. Before the first half ended, Kei Kamara scored in the extra minutes sending the hosts into wild jubilation.

The second half started with the 2-1 score line but changed very quickly in the 48th minute when Federico Higuain (Napoli’s Higuain elder brother) scored his first of the game. The goal increased the lead for the hosts and nobody would have expected what happened next as all was well for a deserved victory.

In the 53rd minute, Crew SC won a penalty and Federico Higuain took the kick and converted but there were arguments as Federico Higuain didn’t allow Kei Kamara score his first career hat-trick. Same Kamara had been confirmed to be traded by MLSSoccer before Wednesday’s MLS trade deadline.

Manager Gregg Berhalter admitted at Tuesday’s training session that there’s plenty of interest as Wednesday’s MLS trade deadline approaches. He said: Read more »
