Mourinho Compares Victor Osimhen to Didier Drogba

Jose Mourinho told Victor Osimhen what he should do to secure a dream move to the Premier League. The young striker has been linked with the exit from Napoli for some time now as he impresses in the Serie A.

Osimhen has featured 20 times for Luciano Spalletti’s side in the present season and sees his deal with the Italian giants expire in 2025, contributing to 19 goals, directly. His incredible displays have guided Napoli 13 points clear of Inter Milan, placed second and Roma in the race to win the Scudetto, courting Chelsea’s interest in doing so. Todd Boehly is ready to compete with Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United for the talisman in the summer. According to reports, the side of Spalleti could demand as much as £ 100 million for Osimhen.

Chelsea has grappled to replace Drogba at Stamford Bridge with just Oliver Giroud and Diego Costa coming close to fulfilling the all-encompassing target man role. Chelsea has experimented in recent times with Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and more recently, Pierre-Emerick Aubamyeang but none of them have enjoyed great success.

So, Osimhen has been recognized to fill up the place of Drogba at Chelsea. However, for the Napoli star completing his dream move to the Premier League, Jose Mourinho has given him a piece of advice. The former Chelsea boss said that he is on the same level as Didier Drogba and didn’t dive. In case of Victor changes then it is okay.

He says that he would buy him if he was at a club with a lot of money. Nevertheless, he does go to England someday and he has to change since in Italy they have put up with this kind of behavior whereas, in the Premier League, they would come hard on him.
